ABOUT / ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY
Helen Sharkey was an arts and socio-cultural researcher and visual artist, her arts practice was focused on pop-up real time participatory arts programmes located in non-traditional public spaces. She offered informal arts education for 'others' with her live arts/craft workshops and demonstrations.
Helen's mixed media art demonstrations model (aimed at grass-roots demographics) was primary arts research into expanding heritage of cultural identity/ disenfranchised public's participation and access to the arts in N. Ireland.
